It’s December and Christmas is in the air, so get in the festive spirit with our top wellbeing event picks for the month.

Various dates in December – Wreath Making Workshops, London: No Christmas is complete without a wreath! If you’re keen on ditching the fake plastic versions or have never warmed up to them, why not get crafty? Just sign up for one of these workshops from Botanique or Southern Wild Florists.

Various dates in December, Monograph Supper Club, London: Tokyo dreaming, but can’t make it to Japan? Let Japan come to you with this multi-course Japanese dinner. We’ve been to the last one and we can vouch for it – the food was delicious and the laid-back atmosphere made it easy to make new friends over traditional Sanuki udon. Welcome back, guys!

Throughout December, WORLD – Alice in Wonderland at the British Library, London: Inject some magic into your life ahead of the festivities by popping down to this exhibition which explores how Alice has captured our imaginations for so many years, by way of literary paraphernalia. Look out for Lewis Carroll’s original manuscript!

If you’re partial to a good brew and have gone pretty much through all the available varieties on the market (sob, we feel your pain) and looking for your next tea fix – don’t miss this tea masterclass. Tea chutney anyone?

5th December, WORLD – Knit Aid Workshop for Refugees: Want to get into knitting and also do a little bit of good in this world? Keep yourself and someone else warm this winter by sign up for this beginners’ workshop. You’ll get the chance to knit a cosy item for you and one for someone in need.

5th December, KITCHEN – HBC Xmas Bash with Wellicious at Wellicious, London: Calling all health bloggers! Join Wellicious for a cheeky Christmas bash – starting with a yoga class, followed by a potluck. Christmas jumpers and homemade festive treats are highly encouraged.

6th December, KITCHEN – Berlin Winter Brunch, London: There are many things Berliners do well – one of them happens to be brunch. If you can’t beat ‘em, join them at this brunch with cozy winter vibes in Clapton. Sehr gut!

9th December, WORLD – Backyard Cinema At Winterville: Home Alone With Live Choir, London: If you’re Nineties child, chances are that Christmas for your rhymes with ‘Kevin!’. Instead of watching Home Alone at home (alone?) this Christmas, pop down to this Backyard Cinema, complete with live choir.

11th December, WELLBEING – Bare Reality: 100 women, Their Breasts, Their Stories, London: Award-winning photographer Laura Dodsworth’s launches her acclaimed book ‘Bare Reality’ which shows unretouched, anonymous pictures of real women’s breasts and stories of their lives. This courageous and moving project successfully explores the tenderness of the female experience – so much so that the campaign has already gone viral and Caitlin Moran is a fan.

11th December, WORLD – It’s a Wonderful Life at the Nomad Cinema, London: When it comes to golden oldies, the Christmas film par excellence It’s a Wonderful Life is pretty hard to beat – so this cozy Christmas screening does not go amiss. Beware – it can make grown men cry.

12th December, WELLBEING – Hiking, Tea and Meditation – a healthy weekend in Dorset: Take a break between the madness of pre-Christmas break at work and family holidays with this very apt and appealing weekend in the stunning Lulworth Cove/Durdle Door area. 14 th -19th December, WORLD – Baby Broadway, London: Looking for a fun Christmas-ey day out with your little ones? Sing, dance and clap along to well-known songs from some of the best all-time musicals, from Mary Poppins to Frozen. Fancy dress is encouraged!

18th December, WELLBEING – Oasis of Sound: An Evening of Sound Bath + Mantras, London: When the stresses of the city take their toll, find refuge in a haven on tranquillity with the sounds of this vibrational bath to restore and refresh – starting from Tibetan Bowls, Sun Gong, Hang, Sansula and Rainstick, to group chanting. It’s a great way to kick off the weekend!
