Jan 7th – March 27th: Free Range Urban Kids Nursery: One of Londons first 100% outdoor nurseries for 2-5 year olds, Free Range Urban Kids is an initiative developed to educate children through hands-on learning experiences and an engagement with nature. Taking place in Millifields Park, Hackney, every day, come rain or shine, kids will have the opportunity to get creative using leaves, sticks and mud to make nature inspired artwork, play games, learn and develop a connection with nature from the heart of East London.

Jan 11th- Relax, Restore and Retreat Restorative Yoga Workshop: An evening of the ultimate in relaxation, this restorative yoga workshop at Evolve Wellness is open to all levels and is highly beneficial if you are struggling with stress and insomnia. Designed to calm the mind, boost the immune system and balance hormones, mood and nervous system, props will be used to fully support the sequence of poses, some lasting up to 20 minutes to allow for the mind to move away from the body so it can release layers of tension and restore.

Jan 17th – Honestly Healthy Cooking Club: Led by alkaline chef and author Natasha Corrett, Honestly Healthy cooking classes have been designed to inspire people to eat honest, nourishing food that assists the body to remain in an alkaline state. During the cooking club, Natasha will demo three dishes before attendees will be sent off to recreate them with guidance and tips every step of the way.

Jan 17th – New Year, New You Detox Masterclass: Over-indulged during the festive season? Get your New Year off to a healthy start with Made in Hackney’s Detox Masterclass led by nutritionists and chefs Rose and Tamara who will demonstrate how to cook delicious meals that will neutralize and eliminate pent up toxins of the season past. Attendees will also be taught the basic fundamentals of detoxifying the body and how to restore vitality, strength and balance through nutrient packed juices and smoothies.

Jan 20th – Running Technique Workshop with Kinetic Revolution: If increasing your fitness is one of your New Year’s resolutions then you won’t want to miss Kinetic Revolution’s Running Technique Workshop. This two hour session will equip you with the tools to develop optimum speed and efficiency, avoid common running injuries and rediscover the freedom of running with great form.

22nd-24th January – Wilder Weekend: A long weekend of beautifully balanced food and enlightening talks curated and hosted by The Pressery and Beehive Place, we think this is the perfect way to bring in the New Year! Wilder will treat its guests to an all-British five course meal created by chef Sam Hodge and The girls at The Pressery, alongside herb infused cocktails, biodynamic wine and juices and nut milks. All dishes have been created with an emphasis on balance and nutrition that still bursts with creativity and flavor. Dinner will be followed by DJ’s and dancing until late into the night.

Jan 24th – The How to Academy hosts: How to Forage: Led by natural historian and author of River Cottage Handbooks Mushrooms, Edible Seashore and Hedgegrow and Booze; John Wright, in this urban foray at Hampstead Health, attendees will be shown how to collect food from hedgegrows, pastures and woodlands whilst learning how to decode the latin names given to the natural world.

Jan 31st – Shh Quiet Music Festival: Developed by London music hub The Local and visual artist Luke Drozd, already in its eighth year, SHH London is a quiet music festival featuring some of the best ambient, softly sung artists from around the globe. Boasting an always stellar line up, the intimate style of SHH has seen impromptu cameo sets from acts such as Beth Orton, Nico Muhly and David Thomas Broughton over the years.

31st of Jan-1st of Feb – Battersea Urban Yoga Retreat: For all the benefits of a yoga retreat without the travel and accommodation costs, Battersea Yoga’s Urban Weekend Retreat will comprise of deep 3 hour Hatha Yoga workshops in the morning, relaxing Yin Yoga in the afternoon, guided mindfulness meditation sessions in the evening, silent meditation walks in Battersea Park along with scrumptious veggie lunches all included in the price.
