From our favourite festive feasts, Christmas decoration workshops, festivals and fitness classes we’ll be enjoying alongside mince pies and Prosecco, discover where we’ll be celebrating Christmas the Content way in our festive edition of What’s On…

December 2nd-31st December: Winterville – An East London alternative to Hyde Park’s yearly Christmas fair, Winterville, popping up at Victoria Park this month, promises to ‘re-boot’ the typical offerings of the conventional Christmas festival. Boasting a host of ‘cultural collectives’ and entertainment including horse-drawn carriages, street food and drink, a ‘magical’ outdoor ice rink, Ferris wheel and even an indoor roller disco, if you’re looking to avoid the massive crowds in central London but still want to get your fix of Christmas cheer, this is the place to go.

December 4th: Pure Taste Opening – If you’re anything like us, you will have been counting down the days until the opening of London’s first Paleo restaurant Pure Taste for month’s now. Well foodies, the wait is finally over! Catering to meatarians, vegans and vegetarians alike as well as a whole host of dietary protocols, Pure Taste is the one place eaters of all varieties can come together under the one roof to enjoy only the best of whole, nourishing, health-enhancing food.

December 5th – 7th December: British Yoga Festival – Showcasing a host of workshops, classes and demonstrations, Yoga Magazine is hosting the first ever British Yoga Festival this month. With a line up of globally renowned teachers and a range of stalls and activities covering everything from Ayurveda, diet and nutrition to green living and meditation, for all our yoga lovers out there, this festival is not to be missed.

December 6th: Christmas Wreath workshop – Here at Content we love a hand-made wreath, especially when we can make one whilst enjoying a warm glass of mulled wine and festive treats! All that and more will be provided at the Hawkhurst Vault’s Afternoon Tea and Christmas Wreath Workshop where attendees will use branches, berries, cinnamon and pine to construct their Christmassy creations.

Raw Press Xmas Fair – A festive fair featuring some of our favourite brands and faces in wellbeing including Punch Foods, Sweet Virtues and Tess Ward to name a few, Raw Press’ Xmas Fair is set to be a jolly day of festive merriment, cold-pressed juices, delectable cakes, games, frivolities, mulled wine and marvelous music.

Makers Festival – A one day festival celebrating the best of upcoming talent in the fields of music, food, drink and retail, housed in Fairground’s multi-level home in a disused office block in Haggerston, Makers Festival will comprise of a curated programme that showcases the top thinkers and tinkerers in London’s vibrant maker’s movement.

December 9th: Tess Wards Naked Festive Feast – Celebrating the festive season with ‘healthful foodie deliciousness’, Tess Ward’s Naked Festive Feast has been created by the Cordon Bleu trained chef and Grazia blogger, to share her favourite wholesome, colourful and free-from gluten dishes and recipes from her up and coming book ‘The Naked Diet’.

December 11th: Pilates, Prosecco and Mince Pies – This month Secret Urban Escapes are hosting their first ever Christmas party in a converted railway arch in Hoxton (exact location revealed closer to the date). Led by one of our favourite Pilates teachers Chloe Hodgson, the event will include a dynamic Pilates class followed by a healthy meal, chilled Prosecco and mince pies. Get your posse together and head to this healthy festive outing before everyone leaves town.

December 12th: A Winter Wellness Day Charity Event – Teaming up to bring to us a day of Winter Wellness, Deliciously Ella, Punch Foods, 26 Grains, Livia’s Crumbles and Imbibery will be hosting a delicious day of Winter Wellness and all for a good cause. Providing a healthy lunch made by the girls and a spin class followed by a Q&A session with Ella and Madeleine, the event will raise money to provide food for a homeless shelter over the Christmas period.

13th December: Brook Green Market & Kitchen – Planning an ethical and sustainable Christmas this year? Held every Saturday, Brook Green Market and Kitchen sells some of the finest organic and free range produce in London and is a great destination to get all your wholesome produce and artisan made goodies in the lead up to Christmas. Be sure to check out the Wild Flower Garden Stall for a great unique selection of festive wreaths for non-DIY types.

December 14th: Ethical Fashion Brand COSSAC launch – We love the witty ‘For the Soul’ range of slogan Organic cotton tees and sweats by this new brand. Hosted at Number 9 Bar and Restaurant, the evening will include a live presentation of the A/W14 collection, drinks, nibbles and the chance to chat all things ethical fashion with the founder Agata Natalia Kozak.

Free-From Food Christmas Festival – Featuring an enticing array of Christmas delights created for those intolerant to gluten, sugar, dairy and with specific dietary needs, the Free-From Christmas Food Festival is a day-long event that will display some of London’s finest artisan created free-from food.

December 15th: Festive Secret Yoga Club – A Christmas edition of Secret Yoga Club, this lovely festive night out features a yoga class led by Emma Henry and an organic, seasonal vegetarian candlelit feast cooked by healthy chef and cookbook author Nina Parker.

December 18th: Punch Foods Christmas Supper Club at LabOrganic – Punch foods second supper club at LabOrganic will feature a festive extravaganza of warming Christmas drinks, Christmas crackers, carols and a Christmas inspired three course vegan menu, all organic, gluten and sugar free of course.

Dec 19th- 23rd: Real Food Christmas Market – Located in a courtyard behind the Royal Festival Hall, over 5 days the Real Food Market will be serving up all things festive alongside its regular selection of sustainably and ethically produced fine foods so attendees can dig into fresh mince pies and mulled wine whilst shopping for their festive feast ingredients.
