Between hat hair, dryness and lack of shine, winter is rife with bad hair days. Solve your problem with our fool-proof hair hacks below…
Dry, brittle hair?
Deep condition once a week. Our favourite natural haircare hack for this is combining a few drops of the John Masters 100% Argan Oil with the John Masters Honey & Hibiscus Reconstructor – between the two you have hyaluronic acid (combats dryness from lack of water) and plant oils (combats dryness from lack of oil). Simply leave in for 15 minutes, then rinse.
Use a moisturising shampoo, such as…
Boucleme Curl Cleanser. Gentle and free of foaming agents and packed with naturally nourishing oils including Argan Oil and Coconut Oil, use this once or twice a week – even if you don’t have curly hair – as it will ensure you aren’t stripping the natural oils from your hair and scalp everyday.
Dull & lacking shine?
Spray on oils instead of massaging through the hair. Look for products that combine a hydrating solution with natural oils (NOT mineral oil!). Shake before use to disperse the oil into the liquid and you’ll get a light layer of oil to add shine rather than a slick of greasy hair – easy with more concentrated oils. Our favourite product for this hack is the Innersense I Create Finish Hair Spray.
Hat hair?
If you find yourself turning into a bit of a hot head under your hat and your hair ends up looking a bit ‘sweaty’, pack the Rahua Voluminous Dry Shampoo to revive your hair at the roots when you arrive at your destination. Caught short? Your translucent loose mineral makeup powder will do the same job!
Feeling frizzy?
For frizz-prone hair that’s reacting to the weather conditions, the Rahua Smoothing Hair Balm acts as an anti-frizz balm to moisturise and smooth, while also adding shine and enhancing colour. Tame the frizz by massaging a small amount through your hair, concentrating on ends, frizz and flyaways.
