One of our favourite things about having a store is the opportunity it provides for hosting events. Information, discussion and learning over drinks with like-minded people is an important part of why we exist. You never know where the attendee-lead conversations will go – from green beauty chat to health and the state of the planet – all are important topics to be discussed. The Content X Agent Nateur Lock In was a great example of this. Jena Covello, the brains behind Agent Nateur, shared with us her long and challenging journey with hormone-related health problems that led her to create her results-driven green beauty line, Agent Nateur.

Jena has suffered from hormone-related health problems including endometriosis and adenomyosis for years, and after a long time of illness and no fix, she decided to take a different approach and work with a holistic doctor to learn how to trust her body to heal itself and address emotions, an area the medical world is starting to understand may contribute to physical illness.
As part of this process, Jena looked at what she was putting in and on her body – with an emphasis on detoxing to help her liver and body cope with an excess of oestrogen.
First up was replacing her deodorant with an aluminum-free version – with a do-it-yourself attitude, what started as a hobby experimenting with mixing up batches at home and gifting to friends, and friends of friends, to trial – transpired into the Holi(Stick) an aluminium-free, non-GMO and pesticide-free deodorant.
The success of these trials led to Agent Nateur – a company started with a modest 300 dollars, 200 white deodorant bottles purchased from the UK, hand-stickered labels and an Instagram account – the rest is green beauty history!
Everything Jena has created (and continues to create) for Agent Nateur is initially for herself, with a focus on sourcing premium natural ingredients directly from suppliers she knows and trusts. From the humble beginnings of an aluminium-free deodorant, to the Agent Nateur green beauty range available now, Jena’s story is just what we love at CONTENT – a blend of wellbeing, self-exploration and beautiful products.
Holistick Deodorant & Holirose Deodorant
The OG of the Agent Nateur family, the Agent Nateur Holistick Deodorant will keep you smelling lovely well into the evening hours with a light trace of honey, lavender and eucalyptus. The Agent Nateur Holirose Deodorant is a similar ingredient base but with an exotic blend of sandalwood and rose for additional scent.
Neither of these deodorants are antiperspirants, allowing the body to function as it usually would and the lymph system to remain unclogged. If you are sensitive to baking soda, Jena recommends that you try an apple cider vinegar wash prior to using either of these deodorants. Alternatively, the Agent Nateur Holistick Sensitive Deodorant is free from baking soda and is ideal for those with hypersensitive skin.
Holi Oil Youth Serum
The first product to follow the Agent Nateur deodorant was the Agent Nateur Holi Oil Youth Serum, launched after Jena studied Natural Cosmetics & Fragrances in the South of France. This is a multi-tasking oil that fits into any natural skincare routine to help brighten, hydrate and reduce appearance of redness and wrinkles.
Holi C and Holi Water
The Agent Nateur Holi C is a topical vitamin C powder that mixes directly with spf, moisturiser or serum, but must be activated with a few drops of water. In this powder, Agent Nateur have combined the highest grade of non-GMO vitamins to reduce fine lines, as well as smooth, brighten, tighten and even the skin tone. It stimulates the production of elastin and hyaluronic acid to restore suppleness and helps prevent sun damage and fade discolouration.
Guests at the Lock-In learnt how to mix a dash of Agent Nateur Holi C with five drops of Agent Nateur Holi Water for the most effective use. Jena uses this trick each day as a morning “cleanse” – in place of traditional washing the skin.
“As someone with endometriosis, I would have taken baths up to 10 times a day if I could have… I would spend hours submerged in water as it was one of the few things that would relieve the pain. But I didn’t like how dry my skin felt when I would get out of the bath, so I made the Agent Nateur Holi Bath with coconut milk powder…” – Jena
A vegan alternative inspired by a traditional milk bath, the Agent Nateur Holi Bath blend provides a calming effect and relieves tired muscles, with a scent that ensures your bath is tranquil and heavenly. Be sure to soak for a minimum of 30 minutes, then rinse and towel dry for the best results. Bliss!
Jena let us in on the latest products she’s been working on for the past two years. We don’t want to give away too much… But what we can say is that our summertime skin is going to be very happy!
